Route of Naval Construction
The Route of Naval Construction was established in 2011. This tour allows you to discover an unknown world.
Military infrastructures blend centuries of history and valuable architecture with the cutting-edge technology currently used by the Navy. The main group of buildings houses a museum dedicated to the Naval history of the prosperous Ferrol estuary.
There are eight places to visit. The starting point is the bastion in the seaport of Curuxeira and the old Hall of Arms of the Arsenal. Proceed through the Dique de la Campana dike, the Naval Museum, Exponav and the shipyards of Navantia.
Further down, guarding the entrance of the Ferrol estuary, the Castillo de San Felipe is the final stop on the route. To top off the walk, we suggest taking a boat trip on the estuary and enjoying the view from the sea of all the buildings that you just visited.
