Cerdido is a green and leafy municipality, a landscape of unique beauty. Cerdido is located at a strategic point, with two rivers running through the municipality.

The town is devoted to agricultural activity and the natural products are sold in the Feira da Barqueira, a traditional fair of cattle and farm products that has been running since time immemorial. Currently, the fair is dedicated to a single product, depending on the season.

The influence of the feudal lords can still be seen in some of the buildings, like the church of San Martiño, built in the 16th century. The most important features are the bell tower and the emblem of the feudal family, in Baroque style.
