Exponav: the art of shipbuilding

Exponav is not a typical museum, but a live exhibition that will take you by the hand into the main activity of the region of Ferrol for the past 300 years: naval construction.

The mock-ups, historical pieces, ancient tools, videos and interactive artefacts will take you on an entertaining and informative journey through naval construction.

The museum is of high educational value for both children and adults. The quality of the contents of the archives and the unique nature of some pieces shown make this exhibition well worth a visit.

Not only the contents but the building itself is also worthy of admiration. It was home to the old forge of the shipyard, dating back from 18th century.

Tip
Exponav has long opening hours . During the low season opens only in the morning but during the high season it is also open in the afternoon.

In Exponav you can chose to travel in time to the interior of an old 18th century galleon or enter a modern frigate.
